HHS Class of 1962 reunion The Hartsville High School Class of 1962 will hold their 55th class reunion on June 9, 10 and 11. On Friday afternoon, classmates will meet at Ruth’s for a time of mingling. Friday night and Saturday morning events are planned. The dinner will be on Saturday night, June 10, at the Hartsville Country Club. McBee School Reunion The McBee School Reunion will be Thursday, June 15th at The Company Store in McBee starting at 11 a.m. All who have attended McBee Schools are welcome, along with their guests. For further information, call Herman McQuage at 803-788-9585 or Grady Sullivan at 843-332-8643.


Butler Class of 1970 meeting Butler Class of 1970 members will meet on Saturday, June 17th at 4 p.m. at Harlie Poston’s house. Classmates are asked to attend.


Hartsville Branch of the NAACP meeting The Hartsville Branch of the NAACP monthly members meeting is set for Monday, June 19 at 6 p.m. at Jerusalem Baptist Church Fellowship Center, 301 S. Linton Reunion Descendants of Henry (1776-1873) and Charlotte Linton through their son, Alexander “Sandy” and Victoria Kelley Linton will hold their 31st reunion at the Linton family home located between Cheraw and Society Hill on Hwy. 52 June 9-11. Golf will be on Friday and Saturday mornings for those that want to play and a cookout will be on Saturday at 6 p.m. A dinner on the grounds will be held on Sunday, June 11 at 1 p.m. and everyone is asked to bring food and drinks. Paper products, utensils and ice will be furnished.


Jacob Kelley Museum House open house The Historic Jacob Kelley House, located at 2585 Kelleytown Road, Hartsville, will be open Sunday, July 2 from 3 to 5 p.m. Come out and enjoy the place where the Yankees slept among the Rebels. Free Nutrition Classes Free nutrition classes will be held June 12th, 19th and 26th and July 10th at Hartsville Memorial Library, 147 W. College Avenue. 1st and 2nd graders 10-11 a.m., 3rd and 4th graders 11 a.m. -12 p.m. and 5th and 6th graders 2-3 p.m. Each class includes a cooking portion and a physical activity.
