This Saturday Hartsville will host Go Big: Hartsville 2017, a town reunion and street party designed to celebrate Hartsville High, the City of Hartsville, and the wonderful people who call it home. The event, which began as a multi-year class reunion for Hartsville High three years ago, has expanded every year. This year it will take over the College Avenue entertainment area with bands, food, beverages, reunion tents, and more from 6 PM – 11PM.
The entertainment line-up includes the Hartsville High ROTC, the Sonoco Mens Club, Friday Night Fistfight, and headliner, Tokyo Joe. In between bands, DJ Jamie Sanders will keep the crowd dancing and moving. There will even be a slideshow of pictures chosen from 30 years worth of yearbooks!
All proceeds from the event will benefit the Darlington County Education Foundation (www.thedcef.org), an organization dedicated to providing classroom and teacher grants for public school teachers in Darlington County.
There is no charge to enjoy the evening; however, individuals who wish to purchase alcohol from the vendors must purchase a $5 wristband at the ticket table.
Everyone is invited! The weather is going to be perfect for dancing in the street, laughing over old yearbook pictures, reminiscing with old friends, and making new friends! For more information, visit www.GoBigHartsville.com.
