The Steps For Applying
Floridians are required to contact their local weatherization provider and send an application to them with the applicators’ proof of income. Those who live on rent must first ask permission from their landlord.
Once the application arrives, they’ll contact the family to discuss what they need to do to the household. Once the work is fully complete, the local provider will check the household.
The Office of State and Community Energy Programs has a dedicated detailed section to the program, and efforts are being made to push further funding. Individuals can freely download resources and ask professionals to understand and apply weatherization in their own households.
They want citizens to understand the importance and benefit of weatherization everyday, so that they can apply it on their own. They want the community’s support so that they can provide enough to enhance the program and the public’s lives.
With programs like these, it’s a step to push efforts in funding for weatherproofing homes. It also shows the precautionary measures needed to be taken to protect lives from natural disasters to prevent further devastation in communities.
