On Friday, two guys were rescued when they fell down a manhole in the middle of downtown Omaha during rain.

The guys, who were thought to be public employees, were washed into a manhole close to the Old Market shortly after 9 a.m., according to Lt. Neal Bonacci of the Omaha Police Department, who was quoted by the Omaha World-Herald.

A man was swiftly removed from the group. The other was eventually discovered in the Missouri River’s storm sewage system. On their conditions, there was no immediate word.
