In a horrific home fire in upstate New York, four people, including a five-year-old girl, perished.
Saturday morning, fire personnel responded to a residence in Voorheesville, Albany, after receiving a 911 call from a woman who was trapped inside.
Despite the rapid response, four individuals, including Emily Thorne, age five, perished at the scene.
In remembrance of her daughter and others who perished in the fire, Michelle Thorne’s mother posted on Facebook, ‘Many of you have reached out to see if everything is okay. My son is physically healthy.’Losing a daughter/sister, a child’s father/his father, and a beloved relative is unbearable.

Along with Emily, her father Arthur Neander, also known as AJ, his girlfriend Becky Monterosso, and Emily’s uncle Dale perished in the fire.
The Albany County sheriff, Craig Apple, said that a woman inside the residence had contacted 911 and reported that she and Emily were trapped in a room with a blocked window.
A dispatcher unsuccessfully attempted to direct the mother and infant away from the burning house. By the time fire personnel arrived, the home was completely engulfed in flames.
Investigators believe they know where the fire began, but have been unable to corroborate this inside the charred residence.
Since then, a GoFundMe page has been created to assist the deceased’s family with funeral costs. The fundraiser had raised over $1,600 as of Saturday night, with a goal of $5,000. Emily has also been remembered since officials shared the news of the fire’s fatalities.
