Several Tweets Made By Carlee Russell Just Before Her Disappearance: Know More Here

Within 40 minutes of going missing, Carlee Russell tweeted several times, with one coming only 15 minutes before she dialled 911 and went missing.

According to the Hoover Police Department, Russell, 24, called 911 on July 13 at around 9:34 p.m. to report a youngster strolling along the southbound side of Interstate 459 close to Birmingham, Alabama.

She would eventually go back home on 15 July at about 10:45 p.m., according to the police, who claim they saw her walking on the pavement in her neighbourhood.

Officials claim that there is no proof that a toddler was strolling along the highway.

Russell tweeted a few times barely 40 minutes before dialling 911 before she vanished.

“Today was a GREAT day God be looking out im telling you!!” Russell tweeted at 8:55 p.m.

“Someone to tell you ‘i love you’ and don’t got a reason,” she tweeted at 8:56 p.m.

At 9:19 p.m., Russell tweeted “yeah i want a family now” just fifteen minutes before dialling 911.

The couple’s Instagram photos were removed by Russell’s boyfriend Thomar Latrell Simmons just hours after the Hoover police conducted a press conference on Wednesday.

Additionally, Simmons took down a Facebook post in which he claimed Russell “was literally fighting for her life for 48 hours.”

“I have been going nonstop since I received the call that she was missing on Thursday night,” Simmons said in the now-deleted post. “I know she would’ve done the same for me, so I wasn’t going to give up until I saw her face again!”

According to Hoover Police Chief Nick Derzis, Russell stole items from the Woodhouse Spa Birmingham around 8:20 p.m. on July 13 including a “dark-coloured bathrobe, a roll of toilet paper,” and other things.

Russell then went to Target to buy some granola bars and Cheez-It crackers before picking up her lunch from Taziki’s Mediterranean Café at their Colonnade location in Birmingham. She stayed in the parking lot till 9:21 o’clock at night.

The Taziki’s order was among a number of personal items discovered inside the car, along with Russell’s pocketbook and Apple Watch. Her cell phone was close to the vehicle. The Target purchases she made were not discovered in the vehicle.

According to Jonathan Gilliam, a former FBI special agent, Russell’s tweets appear to suggest that her disappearance was preplanned.

“Her phone, her watch, anything that’s communication or tracking related was left there. And it points to somebody who was involved in a situation that of their own knowing, not somebody who was abducted. It almost seemed as though these things were planned,” Gilliam said.

Derzis said that the Federal Bureau of inquiry, U.S. Marshals, and U.S. Secret Service all contributed to the inquiry. According to him, investigators are still trying to determine where Russell was during the 49 hours she was missing.
