A horrifying incident unfolded in far north Bexar County, Texas, where a 13-year-old boy was brutally attacked by up to six pit bulls, resulting in serious injuries that required immediate medical attention. Authorities swiftly responded to the distressing 911 call reporting a dog bite at a vacant home, leading to a heart-wrenching discovery.
Bexar County Sheriff Javier Salazar addressed the press during a Thursday press conference, revealing the chilling details of the incident. Deputies who arrived at the scene were met with a scene of devastation as they found the young victim suffering from severe dog bites inside the home.
A tactical medic, equipped with specialized gear, was on-site and immediately provided crucial aid to the injured teenager. Sheriff Salazar expressed the gravity of the situation, stating that the wounds inflicted on the boy were some of the most severe he had ever witnessed. With “chunks of flesh” missing from his back and face, and over 50 puncture wounds all over his body, the victim faced a perilous situation.
The investigation revealed that the boy was in the company of his grandparent when the attack occurred. The grandparent was in a different room and heard the teenager’s screams, rushing to find him being viciously attacked by one up to six, pit bulls. Each of the pit bulls involved in the incident weighed around 120 pounds, making the attack particularly devastating.
