After his partner was discovered dead at a residence on Monday, a guy from Las Vegas was detained, according to authorities.
Officers responded to a complaint about a suspected person hurt at approximately 2:30 p.m. and discovered James Gina III, 50, and the deceased female victim there, according to a news release from the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department.
Gina was identified as the victim’s boyfriend and a suspect in the case by detectives.
According to online prison records, Gina was arrested and put into the Clark County Detention Centre on suspicion of open murder with a deadly weapon and gun possession by a prohibited person. He was detained without posting bail.
No information on the alleged murder or the identify of the victim was made public right away.
The victim’s name and cause and manner of death will eventually be made public by the Clark County Coroner’s Office.
