According to reports, two 13-year-old boys in Ohio have been charged in connection with a shooting at a busy mall on Sunday night that claimed the life of another young person.

At approximately 6:15 p.m. saw a fatal shooting at Columbus’ Easton Town Centre, which led to a more than hour-long mall lockdown, according to FOX28 Columbus.
Before paramedics arrived, officers located the injured people and saved their lives. The person was taken in a medical emergency and later declared dead.
Police apprehended a number of children there, but ultimately linked the gunshot to two 13-year-old boys, according to WBNS. According to reports, one juvenile was charged with murder and the other with obstructing justice.
The victim’s and the two suspects’ identities were kept secret by the authorities.
The report stated that according to the police, more than one gun was found at the scene.
Although investigators have described the shooting as an isolated event, it is unknown what caused it.
At a press conference, Columbus Mayor Andrew Ginther urged parents to watch over their kids.
“I need you to step up,” the mayor said. “Know where your kids are, who they’re with and if they’re involved with any violent activities. Do they have firearms? Go through their backpacks. Go through their rooms.”
Investigations into the shooting are still ongoing.
