Home security cameras captured a bold burglar allegedly taking pricey Hermes blankets in broad daylight while casually going up to a Southern California property.

According to the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department, the ruthless robbery took place on August 22 just before noon at a residence in Bonita, California.

The unidentified suspect can be seen in the sheriff’s department’s video meandering up to the front door of the house before vanishing from view. A short while later, the alleged thief is spotted with a bag full of stolen goods.

According to the police, he took two multicoloured Hermes blankets worth $5,000 each.

When the man drove up in the daylight, there were at least three other automobiles parked in the driveway.

Authorities are now requesting assistance from the public in locating the suspect.

The suspect is a Caucasian male between the ages of 25 and 35, standing at around 6 feet tall, and weighing between 250 and 300 pounds. He was observed walking around in blue cargo pants, a white T-shirt, a black baseball cap, black sunglasses and black shoes with a white accent.

The suspect’s car is a Chrysler 200 convertible with aftermarket rims, model years 2011–2014.
