New Information Revealed About The LASD Constable Who Was Shot In An Alleged "Ambush Attack"

A black sedan can be seen pulling up to the left of a patrol car from the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department in the video, which FOX 11 Los Angeles was able to obtain. No shots can be seen being fired, but the black car drives off as the sheriff’s cruiser slowly advances and eventually stops.

In Palmdale, California, a bystander noticed a constable slumped in his vehicle in front of the Palmdale Sheriff’s Station and rushed inside to call for help.

LASD Deputy Ryan Clinkunbroomer, 30, was initially driven to the hospital in his cruiser, but FOX 11 reports that an ambulance eventually caught up with them.

After that, Clinkunbroomer was placed in an ambulance, and a different constable drove his cruiser to a hospital in Lancaster.

“We really need your help,” Sheriff Robert Luna said during a news conference Saturday night. “We need to get this guy off the street — guy or guys. He ambushed and killed one of our deputies. We need your help to get him off the street.”

Luna emphasised that LASD will utilise all available tools to track down and prosecute the culprits who killed Clinkunbroomer.

The Antelope Valley and Palmdale neighbourhoods were serviced by Clinkunbroomer, a LASD veteran of eight years, with “absolute distinction,” according to Luna.

The deputy’s grandfather and father were both sheriff’s department employees.

“I want to let to our community know Deputy Clinkunbroomer left his family tonight to serve our community. He laid everything on the line to serve us. He wore a uniform just like other @LASDHQ deputies wear, driving in a police car, and he was senselessly murdered tonight,” Luna last posted to X, the platform formerly known as Twitter.
