A 78-year-old Florida man is accused of shooting and killing his neighbour, who was “trimming trees over his property line,” on Monday. He is being charged with second-degree murder.

According to the Volusia Sheriff’s Office, the incident involving Edward Druzolowski of DeLeon Springs took place around 7:13 on Sunday.
“The victim, 42-year-old Brian Ford, was trimming tree limbs along the fence line… when Druzolowski confronted him about being on his property,” the sheriff’s office said. “Druzolowski told detectives he threatened to shoot Ford, and when Ford didn’t leave, he shot him.”
Ford was declared dead despite the efforts of the first two deputies to intervene and save his life.
“Sad news to report tonight: Volusia sheriff’s detectives are investigating a fatal shooting between neighbours in DeLeon Springs,” the Volusia Sheriff’s Office said in an initial post on Facebook.
According to jail documents accessed by Fox News Digital on Monday, Druzolowski was still being held without bond.
As per WNDB, Druzolowski had never been arrested in Volusia County before this shooting.
According to Fox35 Orlando, he is scheduled to appear in court for the first time on Monday.
Over the weekend, a 14-year-old boy was also detained in Riverview, Florida, on suspicion of shooting and killing his mother and injuring her boyfriend many times, according to authorities.
Just after 4 p.m. on Saturday, the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office received many 911 calls about an incident in the Summerfield community, Sheriff Chad Chronister revealed at a press conference.
“The scene behind me is one that nightmares are made of,” Chronister said. “And that is extremely heartbreaking.”
When deputies arrived on the scene, they discovered a 14-year-old child who was allegedly threatening to kill himself by pointing a gun at his own head at least six times. After a 16-minute negotiation, cops shot the youngster with a non-lethal projectile to dissuade him from touching the gun once again. After that, he was arrested.
Following that, according to Chronister, deputies responded to a complaint regarding a man who had fled his home after being shot five times and had wounds to his lower abdomen, hands, and face. The man was revealed to be the suspect’s mother’s boyfriend.
A few blocks away, a woman’s body was found in the driveway of a house. The mother of the suspect was confirmed dead at the scene.
