As the storms passed through the region, Dominion Energy’s skilled crews were hard at work to restore power to almost 30,000 customers on Friday night.
According to a Dominion spokesperson who spoke with News 3, power outages affected approximately 28,000 customers in Williamsburg, the Peninsula, Suffolk, and northeastern North Carolina.
According to Dominion, as of 10:30 p.m., around 10,500 customers had their power restored while 17,500 customers, primarily located on the Peninsula, were still experiencing power outages.
According to a spokesperson, the work to restore the power supply is still underway and the crew is dedicated to completing the task until all the lights are back on.
