On Friday, a man from Vicksburg was taken into custody for leading Louisiana Deputies on a chase into Mississippi.
Around 3 p.m., the Madison Parish Sheriff Deputies made an attempt to stop a speeding vehicle that was going over 100 miles per hour. As the driver entered Mississippi, the Vicksburg Police Department became involved in the pursuit.
Upon reaching the Halls Ferry ramp, Warren County County Sheriff Deputies intercepted the suspect and successfully apprehended him. The suspect, identified as 18-year-old Jason Anderson Jr. from Vicksburg, has been charged with Aggravated Assault, Aggravated Flight, and several misdemeanors. He is currently being held at the Warren County Jail.
After Anderson was apprehended, authorities found out that he had a warrant for armed robbery in Vicksburg. He chose to waive extradition and is slated to appear in court on Monday morning.
