Darlington High’s Lacy wins model home contest at Darlington County Institute of Technology
Three students earned placement in the contest: • First place - Shaleigh Lacy • Second place – Arianne Bouska, Darlington High School junior • Third place – Emmanuel Pendergrass, Darlington High School sophomore Darlington County School District administrators carried out the judging. Parker rewarded the carpentry students’ efforts with a lunch through the support of North Industrial Machine in Hartsville. DCIT’s carpentry class is one of many hands-on opportunities at the school that gives students practical work experience. The career and technology school works to prepare students to enter the workforce following graduation.
