Luncheon focuses on Smart Growth
On March 1, the Greater Hartsville Chamber of Commerce will be hosting its first of three luncheons in it’s Outlook Series. Economic development will be the featured topic for the event beginning at 11:30 a.m. at The Edition, 221 N Fifth Street, Hartsville.
Micah Mallace, Director of Strategic Projects at the SC Ports Authority, and Michael Elmore, Terminal Manager at the Dillon Inland Port, will be sharing information about the port and how it will benefit the Pee Dee region’s economy. Keynote speaker and critically acclaimed economist and urban planner Vince Graham will deliver the keynote, focusing on Smart Growth.
“While we have seen some real progress in the greater Hartsville area over the past several years, no one knows better than the local business community how important economic development and smart growth are for our continued success. We are pleased to bring in experts and thought leaders to keep that momentum going,” remarked Curtis Lee, chair of the Chamber’s Economic Development and Public Policy committee.
Sponsorship opportunities and tickets are available at www.hartsvillechamber. org or by calling (843) 332-6401. Future Outlook Series topics include healthcare and education.
