Hartsville Branch of the NAACP meeting The Hartsville Branch of the NAACP monthly members meeting is set for Monday, September 16th at 6 p.m. The meeting will be at Jerusalem Baptist Church Fellowship Hall, 301 S. 6th Street. Guest speaker will be Hoyt Campbell, Director of Voter Registration.

SMBC 37th Pastoral Anniversary Celebration Second Missionary Baptist Church will be celebrating the 37th Pastoral Anniversary for Pastor J.D. Miss Hartsville competition seeking contestants The Miss Hartsville competition will be held Saturday, October 5th at the Center Theater in Hartsville, starting at 6 p.m. The organization will crown two 2020 titles: Miss Hartsville and Miss Hartsville Teen. The competitions are open to candidates aged 13-25 years old. For more information on how to become a candidate, please send an email to misshartsvillescholarship@ gmail.com. All competition applications are due September 20th.

Good News Club Good News Club is an after-school Bible club held after school for about one hour one day a week filled with songs, games, snacks, and a Bible story at various elementary schools in the area: Carolina Elementary, North Hartsville Elementary, Thornwell School for the Arts and West Hartsville Elementary. Parents who are interested in enrolling their children in this club should contact their school for more information. Participation is voluntary and free.
