Christian Recovery

Heroes Night Out: National Night Out
National Night Out is a community-police awareness-raising event. Join in for a night of community fun with local heroes on Saturday, August 11th beginning at 6 p.m.-8:30 p.m. at Burry Park, 131 Cargill Way. This family-friendly event will feature free food and children’s activities, as well as a meet and greet with local first responders. This event is free. Screen on the Green will immediately follow this event.

Screen on the Green free  movie showings are in Burry Park, 131 Cargill Way in Downtown Hartsville. Movies begin at dusk. The movie this month will be Guardians of the Galaxy on Saturday, August 11th beginning at dusk. In the event of a forecast of rain, the movie will be moved to Coach T.B. Thomas Sports Center at 701 Washington Street in Byerly Park. The event is family friendly and free.

39th Winburn Family Reunion
The 39th Winburn family reunion will be Saturday, August 11th beginning at 11 a.m. at Lakeview Baptist Church.


Gospel in the Park Series
Please plan to attend our next Gospel in the Park concert series, “Youth Alive” Back to School Rally with school supplies (an adult or parent need to bring their child) Sunday, August 12th beginning at 5 p.m.-8 p.m. at Pride Park, 630 S. Sixth St. Devotional service will be rendered by Pastor Reginald McCleod and The Mended Heart Church Family from Darlington. Please bring your lawn chairs and an open heart. Kelly Family Reunion
The annual reunion of the descendants of Sylvester Kelly ca. 1922-1912 and his wife Elizabeth O’Neal Kelly 1830-1895 will be held on Saturday, August 18th at Cedar Creek Baptist Church fellowship hall in Chesterfield County. The doors will open at around 10:30  a.m. and the meal will be around noon. Each family is asked to bring a covered dish. Plates, cups, and ice will be provided. Please bring any old family photograph that can be copied. These are the Patrick Hwy. Kellys (not to be confused with the Kelleytown Kellys) but anyone is welcome to attend. Fourth Annual Bid to Benefit Spina Bifida
So-Lina Auction, 2085 Lamar Hwy., Darlington is sponsoring The Fourth Annual Bid to Spina Bifida event on Saturday, October 27th beginning at 9 a.m. until. Their will be a car, truck, and bike show, chicken bog plates, silent auction items, plus lots more activities. Live auction will begin at 2 p.m. All proceeds go to The Spina Bifida Association of the Carolinas. For more information, call 843-393-7631.

Lunch and Learn and Childbirth Preparation Class
Carolina Pines Regional Medical Center, 1304 W. Bobo Newsom Hwy., is proud to bring their popular Lunch & Learn series the third Thursday of every month beginning from 12 p.m.-1 p.m. The Senior Scene will be the first Thursday from 10 a.m.-11 a.m., also Living Well with Diabetes will be the second Thursday beginning at 6 p.m., and childbirth preparation classes will be the first Saturday from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. in the Education Classroom. Hartsville Farmers Market, hosted by Main Street Hartsville will be open on the second Saturday of each month through December 8th beginning at 9 a.m. at 106 E. Carolina Avenue. Brain Injury Support Group

Alzheimer Caregiver’s Support Group
Alzheimer Caregiver’s Support Group meeting will be held the first Tuesday of each month at St. Bartholomew Church located at 103 Campus Drive, Hartsville. Girl Scout meetings

American Legion Post 53

The Hartsville Toastmasters meet every second and fourth Monday at 7 p.m. at the Black Creek Arts Council building at 116 West College Avenue, Hartsville.
