Pee Dee Electric Coop COVID plans

on Wednesday, 18 March 2020. Posted in News, Local News

At PDEC, we are working to keep everyone safe and healthy.

In response to the expanding COVID-19 (novel coronavirus) health situation, PDEC has decided to practice “social distancing” and reduce contact between employees and members during the course of day-to-day business activities.

Beginning yesterday through March 31, the Darlington office walk-in lobby will be closed to visitors who want to pay their electricity bills in person.  Members can continue to pay bills at Drive-Thru and Kiosk locations situated throughout the PDEC service area.

A complete list of PDEC’s kiosk and payment locations can be found here:

https://www.pdec.com/my-account/payment-locations/

PDEC’s Marion office also will be closed for all business purposes until March 31.

As a reminder, members can continue to pay their bills by phone, online and through their SmartHub app.

No service disconnects for non-payment of bills will occur during March.  This includes pre-paid accounts, too.  Again, we encourage all members to use the Drive-Thru, Kiosks and other alternate ways to pay their bills until March 31.

Lastly, all in-home services such as audits or thermostat installations will be discontinued until March 31.

Please check the PDEC Facebook page regularly for updated information on COVID-19 and its effect on PDEC operations and services.
