Half of the Holidays

Hartsville residents could feel the Christmas spirit all around them on Nov. 17 as the city celebrated its annual Heart of the Holidays Downtown Open House and Centennial Tree Lighting. Following the ceremonial tree lighting, there were numerous performances on the main stage. Those in attendance also had a chance to play in the snow (really bubbles), take photos with Santa or The Grinch, and shop at local business that extended their hours for the special event. Even Mayor Casey Hancock was in the holiday spirit, donning a festive Christmas tree hat.

The Hartsville Christmas Parade is scheduled for Dec. 10 at 3 p.m. Photos by Phillip Guyton Jr. and True Light Photography.
