GSSM offering ENGAGE GSSM, 401 Railroad Ave., is offering an after-school program to 6th, 7th and 8th grade students in Darlington County through March 20th on Mondays and Wednesdays from 4 p.m.-5:30 p.m. The cost is free. There will be eight sessions of captivating STEM fun and opportunities to connect with GSSM’s residential students who will serve as instructors and role models. Snacks will be provided. Lamar Egg Scramble Jamboree Established in 1983, the Lamar Egg Scramble Jamboree is an annual tourist driven festival located in downtown Lamar that brings people from throughout the region to enjoy a weekend of fun filled activities. This year’s Jamboree will be held Thursday, April 4th-Saturday, April 6th. Come out and enjoy the fun!

Groucho’s gives back for Thornwell School Groucho’s Deli. 146 E. Carolina Avenue, will give back 10% of the sales from 4 p.m.-9 p.m. to Thornwell School for the Arts on Monday, March 25th. Come out and support Thornwell while enjoying some great food!

HHS Class of 1962 Annual Class Gathering The HHS Class of 1962 is having their annual class gathering starting March 22-24. A letter of invitation is not being mailed to everyone. Caresouth Carolina Spring Fling Celebration Caresouth Carolina, 1268 S. Fourth St., will be having their Spring Fling Celebration on Saturday, April 13th. The fun begins at 10 a.m. and ends at 1 p.m. The event is free to the public. Come out and enjoy free food, health screenings, inflatables and more!

Hartsville Farmers Markets Your Hartsville Farmers Market returns on April 13th, and will continue on the second Saturday of each month. The event is downtown on E. Carolina Ave. from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. and features local produce, craftsmen, non-profit organizations, and fun food!

City Council Meeting Hartsville City Council holds regular council meetings on the second Tuesday of each month at 5:30 p.m. in Council Chambers, found on the first floor of City Hall, 100 East Carolina Ave. Notification of special meetings is provided at least 24 hours in advance, and agendas are posted in the alcove outside of Council Chambers.

Living Well with Diabetes Support Group The Support Group will meet the second Thursday of every month in the Education Classroom, directly before the Carolina Cafe’ cafeteria. Join this beneficial and educational forum for diabetics and their family members.
