Martin Luther King Jr. Commemorative Awards Service
People of People of Hartsville Annual Dr Martin Luther King, Jr. Annual Commemorative Awards Service is set for Monday, January 17, noon until 1:30 p.m. in Butler Gym, 1103 S. 6th Street. The theme is United We Stand. Keynote speaker is Cecil Williams, owner of The Civil Rights Museum, Orangeburg. We will follow the CDC guidelines and masks are required. Cypress Adventures now enrolling
Cypress Adventures is now enrolling middle school students for the free, after-school Youth Leadership Program. Spring courses begin Jan. 24 and will meet twice a week after school for 14 weeks. Hartsville Lions Club now has a Hartsville Evening Lions Club branch that meets every second and fourth Tuesday at 5:30 p.m. at the Hartsville Chamber room on 5th Street in the Center Theater. New members welcomed. We are here to serve our community. We are non-profit. _
COVID vaccine clinic for age 12+ COVID-19 vaccines will be scheduled
in the Carolina Pines Medical Group Walk-In Clinic, 701 Medical Park Drive, Suite 103, Hartsville on Tuesdays and Thursdays, 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m. to individuals age 12+. Appointments may be made by calling 843-339-2665. Appointments are required to receive the vaccine so our facility can ensure that we have adequate supply for those wishing to be vaccinated.

Hartsville Fire Department now has stickers you can put on your door or window at home to inform the fire department there is a pet in your home. You can come by Hartsville Fire Department at 111 S. 7th St. to pick one up.
Deer Creek Ranch and Horse Rescue
Deer Creek Ranch and Horse Rescue, 3047 Patrick Hwy., Hartsville is a horse rescue ranch with a mission of rehabilitating and restoring abandoned horses to good homes. Christian Recovery meeting location

Good News Club
Good News Club is an after-school Bible club held after school for about one hour one day a week filled with songs, games, snacks, and a Bible story at various elementary schools in the area: Carolina Elementary, North Hartsville Elementary, Thornwell School for the Arts and West Hartsville Elementary. Parents who are interested in enrolling their children in this club should contact their school for more information. Participation is voluntary and free.
