McCoy is new cheerleading coordinating at Trinity-Byrnes
Trinity-Byrnes announces that Katey McCoy will be the new cheerleading coordinator and competitive cheer and tumble coach at Trinity-Byrnes Collegiate School. She is a Florence native and a graduate of Clemson University with a degree in Community Recreation and Sports and Camp Management with a Business Administration minor.
“My lifelong passion has been in gymnastics and cheerleading. I was a competitive gymnast for eight years, high school competitive and game day cheerleader, all-star competitive cheerleader at ACX and Rockstar, and was on the Clemson University Coed Cheerleading team and competitive team from 2006-2010,” stated McCoy.
She has been coaching for ten years in either gymnastics, tumbling, all-star competitive cheerleading, high school cheerleading, or college cheerleading.
Her other areas of interest include church, hiking, paddle boarding and surfing, exercising, and being outdoors with her family. She is married and has two boys (6 and 4) and a baby girl.
“I am so excited for this opportunity at TBCS. I thoroughly enjoy coaching and training kids in this sport that I love, and cannot wait to be a part of the growth of the cheerleading and tumbling program at the school,” said McCoy.
Trinity-Byrnes Collegiate School is a coeducational, non-discriminatory, college-preparatory day school serving students in grades seven through twelve located in Darlington.
