Hartsville, SC--The year 2020 has been unlike anything that anyone could have imagined. Our Neptune Island Waterpark Crew has been overwhelmed with the support from our guests during these times of uncertainty. Our Crew at Neptune Island has been constantly monitoring and adjusting to the changes associated with COVID-19 across the entire waterpark industry. We remain committed to providing a safe, family-friendly summer escape for our residents and visitors alike.

While keeping the health and safety of our guests and staff in mind, Neptune Island will move to operate on a limited basis for the remainder of the 2020 season, beginning on Monday, August 3rd. After Sunday, August 2nd, Neptune Island will be open to the public Friday through Sunday through Labor Day on Monday, September 7th. Our operating hours will remain the new weekend hours announced at the beginning of the 2020 season. For 2020 only, the park will be open on Fridays and Saturdays from 10 a.m. until 8 p.m. and Sundays from 12 p.m. until 7 p.m. and on Labor Day from 10 a.m. until 7 p.m.

Neptune Island Waterpark will continue to operate at a decreased capacity for the remainder of the 2020 season. Additionally, we are continuing to provide increased sanitization efforts throughout the park that include thorough sanitation of frequently touched surfaces, disinfection of floats, lounge chairs, lifejackets, tables and chairs before opening and after closing each day, and access to personal and hard surface sanitizers for guests and Crew Members. We believe the new entry procedures, properly spaced furniture, and additional queue lines with socially distanced markers are assisting our guests with maintaining proper social distance during their visits to the park. While face coverings are not required in an outdoor facility, we do encourage guests to wear proper face coverings when outside the aquatic attractions and when moving throughout the park. Neptune Island Crew Members are required to wear proper face coverings while working at the park, with the exception of lifeguards on stand as this would pose a risk to their safety should they need to make an aquatic rescue.

We are committed to extending our 2020 season passes through June 30, 2021 and 2020 pass holders will have the opportunity to purchase a 2021 Season Pass at a discounted rate at the end of their extension. To give our valued guests more of an opportunity to take advantage of this incentive for this season, we will be extending 2020 season pass sales through Labor Day of this season.

Thank you to each of our valued guests for your patience and understanding as we navigate these trying times. We apologize for any inconvenience that this may cause to our guests. We are looking forward to brighter, healthier days ahead and many more summers together at Neptune Island Waterpark.
