Ribbon cutting held for new Dunkin’ restaurant
A ribbon cutting/grand opening was held Sept. 8 for the new Dunkin’ restaurant located at 1089 South Fourth Street.
The first 50 guests to go through the drive thru received free coffee for a year. There were also Dunkin’ swag giveaways and pics with Cuppy the mascot. The restaurant is owned and operated by Peter Patel and his father, G.P. Patel. This is their 11th store, but their first in the Pee Dee. Peter Patel said he wanted to get in this market and plans to open other locations in Darlington, Florence and Lake City.
About 60 employees work at the Hartsville location. Deep Patel will serve as director of operations for Hartsville. Hours are 5 a.m. to 10 p.m., seven days a week.
