Farmer’s Market produce vouchers for seniors Senior citizens in the Pee Dee region may be eligible for $25 worth of fresh produce under a South Carolina Department of Social Services program. People 60 years old and older can get $25 worth of coupons that can be used at participating farmers’ markets to purchase fresh produce. Due to COVID-19 virus, applications for the Farmer’s Market Produce Vouchers must be completed online at the Department of Social Services website, wwwdss.sc. gov. Applicants must be a senior age 60 or older; have a valid driver’s license or state issued ID (must be presented to pick up); income guidelines will apply with application, and live in Darlington County. At the time of application, you will be given an application number. After your information has been verified for eligibility an approved number will be sent to you, which you must present with your driver’s license or state issued ID at the time of pick-up. The coupons will be issued at: Lamar - June 8, 8:30 a.m. to noon. Robert L. Hartsville Fire Department Hartsville Fire Department now has stickers you can put on your door or window at home to inform the fire department there is a pet in your home. You can come by Hartsville Fire Department at 111 S. 7th St. to pick one up. Deer Creek Ranch and Horse Rescue Deer Creek Ranch and Horse Rescue, 3047 Patrick Hwy., Hartsville is a horse rescue ranch with a mission of rehabilitating and restoring abandoned horses to good homes. Community meeting Stop The Violence Peacemakers Ministry invites you to join us as we support our neighbors affected by community violence.
