On Friday, authorities arrested a man from Vicksburg who had led deputies in Louisiana on a chase that extended into Mississippi.
Around 3 p.m., the Madison Parish Sheriff Deputies made an attempt to pull over a vehicle that was speeding at over 100 miles per hour. The driver, however, drove into Mississippi, and the Vicksburg Police Department joined in the chase.
Upon reaching the Halls Ferry ramp, Warren County County Sheriff Deputies intercepted the suspect and apprehended him immediately. The suspect, identified as 18-year-old Jason Anderson Jr. from Vicksburg, has been charged with Aggravated Assault, Aggravated Flight, and several misdemeanors. He is currently being held at the Warren County Jail.
After Anderson was apprehended, it was found out that he had a warrant for armed robbery in Vicksburg. He chose to waive extradition and is predicted to make a court appearance on Monday morning.
