South Carolina Police Search for 16-Year-Old Girl Who Went Missing

According to WJCL, The South Carolina community is rallying to help find a missing teenager, Xy’Meria Nelson, who was last seen by her family in Sumter on Tuesday morning.

Xy’Meria, a 16-year-old girl, was reportedly seen around 8 a.m. by her loved ones before she went missing. Concerned family members reported her disappearance to the authorities later that afternoon. The Sumter Police Department has since launched an active search for her.

According to police, Xy’Meria is approximately 5 feet 6 inches tall and weighs around 220 pounds. She has distinctive black braided hair and brown eyes. At the time of her disappearance, she was wearing black shorts, a black top, and black shoes.

Authorities are urging anyone with information about Xy’Meria’s whereabouts to contact the Sumter Police Department immediately. The department’s phone number is 803-436-2700. Your assistance could be crucial in helping to ensure her safe return.
