According to officials, after officers forced through the front door of the victim’s home to safeguard a 17-year-old girl who was alone inside, they discovered a burglary suspect guzzling gasoline inside the garage.
Around 11:30 a.m., the teen’s father made a 911 call. Seattle police said the father called them on Friday to tell them that his daughter had warned him about an attempted break-in at their home in the 8400 block of 5th Avenue Southwest.
According to the agency, the teen was too terrified to answer the door and let the cops inside when they arrived.
Police claimed they broke through the front door and started a search after hearing loud banging noises coming from within the house out of apprehension for the life security of the teen girl.

Police Rescue Juvenile Girl After Arresting Man for Residential Trespassing
The suspect was initially discovered by police inside the garage-parked automobile of the homeowner. A gas can and a hammer were observed in the suspect’s lap. The defendant is seen in bodycam video refusing to quit the car after being ordered to do so and instead starting to drink from the gas can.
According to the video, the suspect chugged gasoline while police shouted at him repeatedly to get out of the vehicle.
The individual was then removed from the driver’s seat by the officers after they busted the driver-side window.
The man resisted cops outside the automobile before being eventually taken into custody, according to the police. While the guy was being treated on the scene and in custody, officers located the juvenile girl on the second story of the house and led her to safety.
The suspect, a 40-year-old male who was only given his name, was detained for residential trespassing and lodged in King County Jail.
