Two years in prison might be inflicted upon a British and American tourist couple who were detained for allegedly abusing nail shop employees in Bali, Indonesia.

The women, named by the local media as Chansler A, 37, from New York, and Andrea CW, 37, from London, allegedly attacked employees of the Ombre Nail Salon in Kerobokan due to an argument concerning payment.

The staff allegedly tried to charge the trekkers for an extra treatment they requested, but they became irate when they realized they did not have enough money to cover the costs.

A clerk seems to be grabbed by the collar by Chansler, wearing a bucket hat, and pulled over the counter while the employee yells that they must pay, according to shocking CCTV evidence.

Two years in prison might be inflicted upon a British and American tourist couple who were detained for allegedly abusing nail shop employees in Bali, Indonesia.

According to the management of Ombre Nails Studio, these clients came in for treatment and were given all the information regarding costs, but in the end, they refused to pay the amounts.

They started verbally abusing the staff and blackmailed them, threatening to leave a negative review if they kept on asking them to pay.

Additionally, they tried to steal money from the cashier, inflicting some bodily harm as well as mental shock on the Personnel.

According to Kompol I Made Pramasetia, the chief of police in Badung, the two had been planning to stay in Indonesia until December 22. They had planned to travel to Pulau Dewata, but after the incident at the salon on December 16, they made the decision to depart.

The Indonesian Criminal Code’s Section 1, Article 351, which stipulates that maltreatment carries a maximum sentence of two years and eight months in prison, was the basis of the charges brought against Andrea and Chansler.

In addition, they will face charges under Article 335, which deals with forcing others to do something, and has a potential one-year jail penalty.
